Ek Ki Taaqat is a people’s movement – it is your movement.
Through this platform, you can nominate change-makers who are doing something meaningful for the nation. Your nominations, after initial vetting, will be reflected on our 'Silent Heroes' page so others may vote for them. Even if you are not nominating any Silent Heroes, you can still be a part of this movement by reading about the 'Silent Heroes' on this site and voting for the most deserving persons.
Through the nomination and voting process, we will identify the top five Silent Heroes who we will support, financially and also through advisory assistance, so that they can continue the great work they are doing.
Do remember – this initiative is totally non-political; please keep that in mind when you nominate or vote. The objective of Ek Ki Taaqat is to recognize the unsung heroes of India. A retired professor teaching slum children for free to give them a better future; a student devising innovative ways to save water so that villages don’t get parched in summer; a housewife fighting hunger and malnutrition by running a community kitchen for the less fortunate; or a farmer engaged in composting to make affordable natural fertilizer for his village. These are just a few examples of Silent Heroes who exemplify Ek Ki Taaqat.
Ek Ki Taaqat is a socially relevant people-oriented initiative launched by the Sarfarosh Foundation, the CSR arm of Puri Oil Mills Limited, the makers of P Mark Mustard Oil. The company has always believed in ethics, transparency and fairness in all its dealings, and uses natural and eco-friendly production methodologies.
Ek Ki Taaqat was conceived as a social initiative aimed at fostering a more positive, optimistic outlook for India’s future along with the belief that even small steps taken by individuals, groups and communities can – and in fact, do – make a significant difference, especially in the long run.
