India is a fascinating country, a land of diversity, a country brimming over with possibilities, a nation filled with hope. But sometimes, caught up in the big stories of national importance that dominate the headlines, we lose sight of the little rays of sunshine that illuminate small – almost unknown – areas of our lives.
There are people out there who are making a difference – however miniscule it may be – through small acts of giving, kindness and selflessness. These people are largely unknown, unrecognized and unrewarded. They are driven predominantly by their love for India and their deep sense of caring for their fellow citizens.
Ek Ki Taaqat is a small, humble attempt to recognize – and to some extent help – such people in their admirable endeavours.
